Amano started from Chile when our family lived there for 8 years. We made our own line of handknit sweaters there and sold them in the US. When we moved back to this area we eventually opened our first store next to our current location in 1998. It was a success from day one and we have continued to thrive thanks to the support of our many regular customers and the influx of new ones. We moved next door into our new digs in 2005. It remains a family business owned by Jeffrey and Veronica McCandless.
